Background of the issue:
I am experiencing an issue with WPML and ACF on my site hidden link
. I am trying to ensure that when I clear an ACF field value in the source post, this change is properly reflected in the WPML translation. We are using the latest versions of WPML and ACF, and translating posts with custom fields generally works correctly. This same behavior has also been observed on two other client sites.

Screencast showcasing the problem: hidden link

Symptoms:
When I clear a custom field value in the original post and update the translation, the field no longer appears in the WPML Translation Editor, and the previously translated value remains instead of being cleared.

Questions:
Is it expected behavior that cleared fields in the source post do not update in the WPML translation?

How can we ensure that cleared fields in the source post are either automatically cleared in the translations or reappear in the Translation Editor for update?

Hello,
My name is Carlos, and I will continue working on this ticket

Please increase the WP memory Limit. Minimum requirements are 128Mb: https://wpml.org/home/minimum-requirements/
You can add this to wp-config.php to increase WP memory:`

/* Memory Limit */
define('WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '256M');

- Add it above the line /* That's all, stop editing! Happy blogging. */

You can double-check the WordPress memory limit in WPML -> Support

Once the WordPress memory limit is increased, double-check if the issue persists or disappears.

Regards,
Carlos

Hi Carlos,

Just to clarify: I had already increased the memory limit to 512 before, but the problem still persists. The ticket creation process asks for a debug log before suggesting to raise the memory, which might have caused some confusion.

Best regards
