Background of the issue:
I'm trying to change the URL format for the translated pages after starting to work on the translations. I need to use a parameter in order to use conditional display on Divi. I followed steps from another support topic but it did not work and is still adding /ar/ instead of a parameter. The steps I followed were: 1. Go to WPML >> Languages > Language URL format. 2. Select the 'Different languages in directories' option and press the Save button. 3. Re-save the Permalinks from the Settings >> Permalinks page by pressing the Save Changes button. 4. Clear all sorts of cache from the site/server.

Symptoms:
The URL format is still adding /ar/ instead of using a parameter.

Questions:
How can I make sure the URL format uses a parameter instead of /ar/?
