[Waiting for user feedback] We are experiencing an issue with WPML where fields containing numeric values are not being transla...
This is the technical support forum for WPML - the multilingual WordPress plugin.
Everyone can read, but only WPML clients can post here. WPML team is replying on the forum 6 days per week, 22 hours per day.
Background of the issue:
I am trying to ensure that numeric fields, like form_id with value "123456789123456", appear correctly in the WPML editor and are included when sending to our external translation vendor. We have tried implementing the solution from the WPML forum about translating numbers using.
Symptoms:
Fields containing numeric values are not being sent to our external translation vendor. I can't translate those, it's not exported to the xliff.
Questions:
How can I ensure numeric fields are included when sending to the external translation vendor?
Why are numeric fields not appearing in the WPML editor?
We attempted to use another external vendor, but it was also not sent. However, when we add numbers along with some text, for example: 123456789-test, it was sent.
I don't see any field groups set up on the test site nor a page or post with fields with numbers. Please reproduce the issue in the staging site I set up and let me know which page or post to test?
