Background of the issue:
I am trying to translate an ecommerce shop on our development site using WPML before implementing it on the production site. hidden link
Symptoms:
The translation preparation is stuck in preparation for several days.
Questions:
How can we complete the translations that are stuck in preparation?
When the translate the production site, and the translations are preparing, will the shop be fully functioning in the default language?
How many credits do we approx. need for 330 products? See screenshot
Hi we do need help yes please.
We wanted to test the Auto AI translation for our e-commerce shop but must have had not enough credits. Now the translations are stuck in "processing" mode. The wheels are endlessly spinning.
1. How can we stop the auto translation? We have already turned off the " Translate Everything Automatically" button.
2. The auto translation translated a few pages, but the translation did not change to the "pen" icon, instead we see the gear wheel and it says "Translation is awaiting first availbale translator" what does that mean? and how can we complete the translation?
3. We tested a translation with the deepl AI function - About us page, and it worked great, we translated it to 100% and completed, but the translation again is just showing the gear icon with the note "English translation assigned to local translator" -> how can we complete these translations?
Please try the following:
❌ Please make a full website backup before proceeding ❌
Go to WPML -> Support -> Troubleshooting, scroll down and click on "Cancel in-progress automatic translation jobs".
As far as I can see from your screenshot, you already disabled automatic translation, so once you cancel in progress job you should be able to select and send to translate specific content.
Unfortunately it still does not worked like it should - or maybe we do something wrong? What is best practice to translate with deepl AI mode?
Created a screenrecording to maybe show you better what the behavior is currently on our staging version of the shop that we should translate into English and French (we are already trying to translate for 3 weeks now, as we do not want to translate with the "normal" method within WPML, want to use the automatic method with AI support...):

1. We go to page overview in WordPress backend and press on the pen icon on a page we want to translate - correct?
2. When clicking on the pen for English translation, it does automatically fill in all required fields with translations (what is very good, full 100%) - correct?
3. After saving and finishing the translation we get back to the overview and the icon should change to a check mark normally - correct?
4. In the translation management overview of WPML in WordPress backend there should then be also a green check mark - correct?
And then it would be possible to go on and translate every page, every post, every product like this - correct?
Sorry for lots of questions here - but we really want to understand what is the best way to proceed here with automatic translations but that we still are able to control the process.
