Customzer in wrong language

mariaW-12	Background of the issue: I am trying to use the customizer on my WordPress site, hidden link, where the default language is German. Symptoms: When I open the customizer on the main (German) site, I am automatically landing on the English site. All changes are saved on the English site but not on the German. Questions: Why does the customizer open in English instead of the default German language? How can I ensure changes are saved on the German site instead of the English site?

WPML Supporter since 12/2018 Languages: English (English ) Spanish (Español ) German (Deutsch ) Timezone: America/Lima (GMT-05:00)	Hello, Do I understand correctly, that the site's default language is set to German but changes taken in the Customizer only show up in the English language pages? If so, then this might be a theme issue - many themes and plugins will always save their options by default in English. I would suggest in this case taking the changes in English. The Customizer can not be used to create translations in second languages, but you can use WPML String Translations for translating it.
