Background of the issue:
We have a multilingual website, hidden link, that we are translating into four languages using WPML. We calculated the total word count to estimate the number of credits needed, which was approximately 122,000 words. We chose the 'Pay as you go' plan for automatic translations.
Symptoms:
After starting to translate a portion of the website, we noticed a significant discrepancy in the credits used. The system reports that 1,804,726 credits have already been consumed, which is much higher than our initial estimate. We found an anomaly related to the product ADF180P ā 18kt Gold Wedding Band, 2 mm wide (hidden link), where 14,460 words have been attributed to the translation of this page, but the actual textual content is very limited.
Questions:
Why is there such a large discrepancy between the estimated and actual credit usage?
How can we accurately calculate the remaining credits required to complete the translation of the entire website?
Can you verify the word count attributed to the product ADF180P and provide a breakdown of how it was calculated?
I also checked the media translation settings, and the option 'Translate media library texts with posts' is already unchecked. Iām attaching a screenshot showing how the options are set.
To debug this issue further, I would need to check your site settings once, for this I would need temporary access (wp-admin and ftp) to your site.
So could you please provide me with those details, you will find the needed fields for this below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply. hidden link
