This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem:
You are trying to set up automatic translations for posts on your site and encounter issues with 'CR English' and 'CA French' not supporting automatic translations, even after mapping them to known languages.
Solution:
For 'CR English', WPML supports mapping only to standard English for automatic translations. You should select 'Don't map this language' for custom variations like 'CR English' as they are intended for manual translation. If the content is the same across languages, consider duplicating the pages instead. More information on mapping custom languages can be found here: https://wpml.org/documentation/automatic-translation/using-automatic-translation-with-custom-languages/#mapping-a-custom-secondary-language-to-your-sites-default-language
For 'CA French', the selected translation engine does not support this variant. You should map it to a supported language, such as standard French.
If this solution does not resolve your issue or seems outdated, we recommend opening a new support ticket. We also advise checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins.
