Background of the issue:
I am trying to use the template tag {{current_year}} in the footer of my website hidden link. The tag is inserted in the Czech original and works correctly in the German translation, displaying the current year 2025.
Symptoms:
In the English translation, the template tag {{current_year}} is not working on the frontend and displays as the text {{current_year}} instead of the current year.
Questions:
Why is the {{current_year}} template tag not working in the English translation?
How can I fix the issue with the {{current_year}} tag in the English version?
