Problem:
The client was experiencing a 404 error when trying to access a translated post on a website using a toolset plugin with a custom post type. Despite trying to save the permalinks in the settings, the issue persisted.
Solution:
We discovered that the issue was due to incorrect slug settings in the 'WPML settings' page, which added an extra '/he/' to the URL. We recommended the client to remove this erroneous part from the URL settings. After making this adjustment, the website began to function normally.

Background of the issue:
I'm working on a client website with a toolset plugin active with a custom post type. I can edit and translate the posts in the admin panel.

Symptoms:
When I try to access the translated post, I get a 404 page. I tried to save the permalinks in the settings but still same result.

Questions:
Why do I get a 404 page when trying to access the translated post?
How can I fix the issue with the translated post not displaying correctly?

Thank you for your patience, the response time in tickets is slower than chat just to make sure we are on the same page.

I logged in to the website and could see English and Hebrew pages works ok for:

There is no 404 error.

Did you check the site? If that is not what you have the issue with please give me the steps to replicate the 404 issue.

Hey,
I appreciate your support but the problem I encountered is still there.
I feel that my problem isn't addressed in the support ticket (probably because of my lack of communication skills in English).
Can we schedule a zoom\google-meeting call so I can present you the problem more effectively?

Hey, I solved my problem.
it appears that the slug settings in the 'wpml settings' page were broken and added extra '/he/' to the URL.
after I removed it, the site behaved normally.
