Hello,

I'm experiencing an issue with a translation job that seems to be stuck.

I have created a new Czech version of my website and used the Translation Management dashboard to automatically translate all the pages. Everything translated correctly, except for one page titled "Szkolenia i Kursy Amazon".

The translation job for this specific page is perpetually "In Progress." I have tried canceling the job and resubmitting it multiple times, but it never completes. I have also tried translating the page manually, but it doesn't change the outcome.

When I go to the WordPress editor for the "Szkolenia i Kursy Amazon" page and click the translate icon for the Czech language, I am redirected to the Advanced Translation Editor. In the editor, the translation is already 100% complete and looks correct. When I click the "Save" button, I get a success message.

Back in the page editor, a "gear" icon appears next to the Czech language, but the Czech page is never created. If I try to switch to the Czech version of the page on the front end, it prompts me to create a new translation, as if it doesn't exist.

Could you please advise on how to resolve this?

Hi,

Is this the page with the problem?
hidden link

It looks to me like it was translated.
For example, I can see the English translation here: hidden link.
Please see the attached screenshot.
Have you solved this problem already?

If not, and you need further help with this, please share the access details to your site with me. I'm enabling a private message for the following reply.

Hi, and thanks for the access details.

I can see the problem on your site.
I've tried the following to no avail on your site.

1. Added the Polish -> Czech language pair to the user in WPML -> Translation Dashboard -> Translators.

2. Canceled the job in WPML -> Translation Dashboard -> Translation Jobs.

3. Clicked these options in the troubleshooting section: Synchronize local job ids with ATE jobs and Synchronize translators and translation managers with ATE.

3. Made a slight change to the original Polish page and resent it to translation through the Translation Dashboard.

I downloaded the XLIFF file in question from your site and escalated the issue to our second-tier supporters. I'll keep you updated here once I have a reply from them.

I appreciate your patience.
Itamar.

Just to be sure, the default language is Polish not English, and I translate pages from this language.

Hi,

Yes, of course.
It was my mistake writing 'English' -> 'Czech'.
Thanks for pointing out this mistake.
I corrected this in my previous reply.
In practice, I did try Polish -> Czech.

I'm still awaiting the reply from our second-tier supporters.
I'll keep you updated.

Regards,
Itamar.

Hi,

According to our second-tier supporter's suggestion, I tried the following.

1. In WPML -> Translation, I uploaded the XLIFF file for the job that failed. Please see the attached screenshot upload-xliff.jpg.

2. The upload was successful, and the job was completed. Please see the attached screenshot job-completed.jpg.

3. Now the Czech translation shows here: hidden link.

Could you please confirm that this issue is now resolved?

Regards,
Itamar.

Unfortunately, the site you sent (hidden link) is in Polish. It is supposed to be in Czech. When I am editing the translation in ATE, everything is translated correctly. After saving, the translation is applied, but nothing changes. I tried clearing the cache, but it did not help.

Hi,

Thanks for pointing out that the content is still in Polish.

To investigate the problem of not being able to complete the job without manually uploading the XLIFF file, our second-tier supporter would like to know whether you are using any server-side caching on your site.

Do you use any server-side caching on your site?

Regards,
Itamar.

Hi,

I am only using Litespeed Cache Plugin. I flushed all cache and I even turned it off for a while but it did not help.

Hi,

We can observe errors in the debug.log. We need to investigate this issue further. Please allow me to take a copy of your site. For this, I need to install a plugin like Duplicator or All-in-One Migration. Please let me know if you agree.

Regards,
Itamar.

I am not sure if this is related but when I am trying to edit translation for different Czech site
hidden link

I am getting "Uncaught Exception". Screenshot attached.

EDIT: Actually, the same thing is happening on other Czech sites.

Hi,

Thanks for renewing the link. Eventually, there was no need to take a copy of your site. Our developers have identified the issue in the Advanced Translation Editor. They will fix it in the Advanced Translation Editor. The current state of this case is that it has been escalated to our developers. Hopefully, soon I'll update you here once I have news about this issue.

Regarding the Uncaught Exception issue you mentioned, it appears to be unrelated to this issue. It seems to be related to our other product, Toolset. I've split this ticket into another ticket and will continue to assist you with it here: https://wpml.org/forums/topic/split-uncaught-exception-with-toolset-types/.

Regards,
Itamar.
