Background of the issue:
I have a WooCommerce product that is already translated. After updating the original language, I want to update the translation.
When I click the refresh icon in the product grid, it leads me to the WooCommerce product editor instead of the WPML translation editor.
Symptoms:
Clicking the refresh icon in the product grid leads to the WooCommerce product editor instead of the WPML translation editor.
Questions:
Why does clicking the refresh icon lead to the WooCommerce product editor instead of the WPML translation editor?
How can I ensure that the refresh icon directs me to the WPML translation editor?
Good morning!
Thank you very much for sharing the information requested.
The issue is resolved when the translated product is re-saved using the Advanced Translation Editor (ATE). As an example, I re-saved the translation of the 'Dealer's V1 250D' product by editing the product in the original language and clicking on the translation icon under the Language block (right column). These steps updated the entry in the database for that particular product, and now you can update the translation using ATE.
Please apply the same steps in the rest of the plugins and confirm that the issue is solved.
I haven't made any changes to the site, except for updating the 'Dealer's V1 250D' product.
I can see you are using blocks in the checkout page: hidden link and I'd recommend using the Woocommerce shortcode instead ([woocommerce_checkout]). In this URL, you will find all the shortcodes: https://woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-shortcodes/
I fixed the website, wasn't your fault, sorry for the accusation!
So I click on the translation update symbol seen in the screenshot, then it just switches to english woo product editor. Please elaborate what I'm exactly supposed to do.
Carlos isn't available for the next few days, so I'm handling this ticket, meanwhile.
In the screenshot you sent I see you have "WordPress Editor" option selected for the Übersetzungen. With that setting, it's expected that you're are taken to the WordPress Editor for the product.
Please make sure to have a full website backup and proceed as follows:
1. Inside the product editor, click on "WPML Editor für Übersetzungen";
2. On the pop-up, select the option to change the editor for that product only;
3. Click the Update button, so the changes are saved;
Now, when clicking to update the product's translation, you should be taken to the WPML Translation Editor. Let me know if that's solve the issue, or if you have another behaavior.
