Background of the issue:
I've built the translation for my site and it looks pretty good. I translated this page: hidden link. However, there is no language selector that points to the German translation. I was hoping the answer would be here: https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/translating-page-slugs/

Symptoms:
When I start with the German translation at: hidden link and click on the selector at the bottom of the page to go to the English version, the URL is: hidden link. On the WordPress German page, it says: 'You need to translate this post manually because the field groups attached to it use different translation options.'

Questions:
Why does the language selector go to the URL hidden link instead of the English version?
How can I ensure the language selector points to the correct German translation?

Thank you for reaching out to WPML support. While one of my colleagues reviews your ticket, I’d like to provide some initial debugging steps to assist you right away.

It looks like your site is using the “Post Name” permalink structure, so your URLs should appear like this:
hidden link

However, if the URL instead appears as:
hidden link
this typically means the page or post is still in draft status.

To resolve this, please make sure the page is published.

As for the "You need to translate this post manually because the field groups attached to it use different translation options." message.

Please go to ACF-> Field Groups and check the group's translation preferences on this page/post.
If it says "Different Fields in Different Languages," please change it to "Same Fields Across Languages."

Let me know if you need further help!
