[Resolved] Missing Variations in other language with different page template [elementor]
This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem: You are trying to display product variations on a page using WPML and Elementor, but they are not showing when an extra tag for a different page template in English is added. Solution: We recommend the following steps to resolve the issue: 1. Edit the product in the primary language. 2. Make a minor change to the product title (e.g., add a space or word), then click Update to save. 3. This action will resync the Advanced Translation Editor. 4. After that, retranslate the product into the other languages. 5. Check if the product variations are now appearing on the translated versions.

This is the technical support forum for WPML - the multilingual WordPress plugin.

Background of the issue:
I am trying to get my product variations to show on the page. However, when I add an extra tag for a different page template in English, it doesn't allow my product variations to be shown anymore. This issue can be seen on the page: hidden link. I expected the variations to be visible under 'Type Quiz' as seen on: hidden link. The product where they do show doesn't have a certain tag for a different Elementor page template.
Symptoms:
The product variations do not show on the front-end or back-end of the WordPress editor. I have tried all the sync product variation possibilities through the forums.
Questions:
How can I get the product variations to show properly?
Why does adding an extra tag for a different page template in English prevent product variations from displaying?
Thank you for contacting WPML support. While you're waiting for one of my colleagues to take this ticket, let me provide some initial troubleshooting steps to help resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
Based on the screenshot you shared, it appears that the product variations were not successfully copied over to the translated version of the product.
To fix this, please follow these steps:
-Edit the product in the primary language.
-Make a minor change to the product title (e.g. add a space or word), then click Update to save.
-This action will resync the Advanced Translation Editor.
-After that, retranslate the product into the other languages.
Once done, check if the product variations are now appearing on the translated versions.
This solves a part of the problem, yes the Variations do appear again. HOWEVER.... my tag on the English website also dissappears. The tag we create = Dutch PDP on EN (so a different product page layout is taken in the english shop for that specific product, when I 'resync' the product like this... it removes the tag and it keeps using the old page in elementor.
When I add the tag back again.. the variations dissappear again. So i'm stuck in a loop. Do you have a fix or workaround for this too?
