Background of the issue:
I set the preferences in the ACF field to 'Don't Translate'. I am trying to prevent ACF fields from displaying in the Advanced Translation Editor. The issue can be seen at the following link: hidden link
Symptoms:
ACF fields are displaying in the Advanced Translation Editor despite having the ACF settings set to 'Don't translate'. I expected the field not to appear in the translation editor, but instead, I see the field being able to translate.
Questions:
Why are ACF fields displaying in the Advanced Translation Editor despite being set to 'Don't Translate'?
How can I prevent ACF fields from appearing in the translation editor?
If the translation containing this field was in progress while you changed the translation preference of the field, it will not change in the Advanced Translation Editor. Was this your case? If so, then you first need to complete the in-progress translation and then send it again for translation, and check if the field shows or not.

The German translation of the page you gave me as an example has not yet been translated. I clicked the plus (+) icon to translate it, and the color_theme field is not showing in the Advanced Translation Editor. Please see the attached screenshot. The change to 'Don't translate' has taken effect. It will still show in the French translation, for example, because it was before you changed it. But from now on it will not show anymore.
