[Resolved] Automatic translation issue with one module
This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem: The client is using WPML's translation management to translate their site into French using UABB and Powerpack modules for Beaver Builder. The automatic translation does not work with the content of the UABB module, specifically the Powerpack restaurant module nested within it. Solution: The client discovered a workaround for the issue with the UABB module's content not translating automatically. Although the specific steps were not detailed in the communication, the client confirmed that they found a method to enable translation for the Powerpack restaurant module within the UABB module. We recommend checking the client's shared video for a visual guide on the solution: https://www.loom.com/share/8ab3aef2214a4e6c87ab4fd547851b41.
Please note that this solution might be outdated or not applicable to your specific case. Background of the issue:
I use WPML's translation management to translate my site, hidden link, into a second language, Francais. I am using UABB and Powerpack modules for Beaver Builder.
Symptoms:
The automatic translation does not work with one module.
Questions:
Why is the automatic translation not working with the UABB module and Powerpack module (which is nested within the UABB module?
How can I resolve the automatic translation issue with these modules?
I will need to closely examine your website. Therefore, I will require temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) to a test site where the problem has been replicated, if possible. This will enable me to provide better assistance and determine if any configurations need to be modified.
Please note that it is important to have a backup for security purposes and to prevent any potential data loss. You can use the UpdraftPlus plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/updraftplus/) to fulfill your backup requirements.
Your upcoming reply will be treated with confidentiality and will only be visible to you and me.
✙ To resolve the issue, I may need your consent to deactivate and reactivate plugins and the theme, as well as make configuration changes on the site if necessary. This emphasizes the significance of having a backup.
Could you please generate a new sitekey for this staging site? Referring to the error logs here hidden link , it says "No sitekey found for this website"
Once you've done that, I should be able to open the "Advanced Translation Editor" to check on the issue.
Thanks for your reply. I can see some issues with the translations. I will have to escalate this further. I kindly ask for a snapshot of the site. Alternatively, with your permission, I can create one myself. For this purpose, I typically recommend using the free plugin "Duplicator." If you're already familiar with Duplicator (https://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/), please skip the following steps and simply send me the archive file you downloaded.
To guide you further, please adhere to these instructions:
1. View the Duplicator instructions video: hidden link
3. If the archive file exceeds 400MB, please use Duplicator's file filters to exclude cache, wp-uploads directory, media, and archive files.
Once you have the archive file ready, kindly share the link with us. You can utilize platforms like Google Drive, Dropbox, or similar for file sharing, as the snapshot file might be large.
Please note that your next reply will be private, visible only to you and me. You can paste the file link there. Rest assured that once the issue is resolved, I will delete the local site.
I'm trying to open a report to our 2nd Tier Support, but the site isn't working properly. It seems that Beaver Builder is causing issues on this specific page: hidden link . I'm unable to edit the page using Beaver Builder. Could you please investigate? I've already deactivated the WPML plugins, but the issue persists. It appears that some modules on the page are broken, and the WPML Advanced Translation Editor is capturing all the code from that page for translation, which is what I'm attempting to report as shown in the attached screenshot.
In the meantime, I've prepared a sandbox site here: hidden link and created a test page here: hidden link . However, after translating, the UABB module seems broken: hidden link. Is this the issue you're encountering?
I have you here the overview again. The main issue is not the UABB module as you write (UABB module broken). On the orig. site and on the staging site the UABB module itself is fine translated from german to francais lanugage.
Just the "content" of the UABB module, which is a powerpack restaurant module is not translated or does not show up after the automatic translation. But I found a way to make it work.
Please see here - in case another Beavuerbuilder user would have a similar issue. hidden link
Sending you kind wishes and thanks again for checking in!
Thank you for providing the solution. I apologize for missing that option earlier. It appears to be the right approach to resolve this issue. I'll make sure to document the solution once the ticket is marked as resolved, so other users using the UABB module from Powerpack can benefit from it. Have a wonderful day!
