This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client noticed that after one translation, their credit balance showed only 2,900 credits left, despite having initially purchased 90,000 credits.
Solution:
We recommend checking the detailed usage of your credits to understand the discrepancy. Here’s how you can do this:
1. Navigate to WPML → Translation Management and select the Automatic Translation tab.
2. Click on Payment & Settings and expand the setting for Automatic Translation Usage Reports.
3. Choose a specific month and generate a report.
4. Download and review the report to see the URLs of translated pages and the credits used.

If this solution does not resolve your issue or seems irrelevant due to being outdated or not applicable to your case, please open a new support ticket. We also highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. Background of the issue:
I purchased 90,000 credits for translations using the WPML plugin on my WordPress site, hidden link.

Symptoms:
After using the credits for one translation, the remaining credit balance shows only 2,900 credits left.

Questions:
Why does my credit balance show only 2,900 credits left after just one translation when I initially purchased 90,000 credits?

Thank you for contacting WPML support.

I have reviewed the issue you reported. It appears that your website used 87130 credits during May.

To check the credit usage for each website, you can follow these steps:
- Go to WPML → Translation Management and select the Automatic Translation tab.
- Click on Payment & Settings and expand the setting for Automatic Translation Usage Reports.
- Choose a specific month and generate a report.
- Download and review the report to see the URLs of translated pages and the credits used.

But my website is using only one language and the website is not more than 10000 words. How can I ensure the credits remain in tact.

Have you checked the Automatic Translation Usage Reports? This will help you understand where the credits went.
