This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem:
If you're experiencing issues with CSS styling changes not being applied correctly on your WPML translated webpage, follow these steps to resolve the issue.
Solution:
1. Navigate to WPML -> Settings -> Custom Fields Translation.
2. Click on 'Show system fields' and search for any items that include 'css', 'style', or 'styling' in their name.
3. Set these fields to 'Copy' or 'Copy Once' if they were already set to 'Copy'.
4. Return to the original page/post, make a minor modification (such as adding an extra space), and save the post/page.
5. Edit the translation and save it as it is.
6. Check the styling on the translated page.
If the issue persists, you might need to set additional fields like 'page_options' to 'Copy' in the Custom Field Translation settings, as these fields carry custom configurations for each page, including design options.
Please note that this solution might be outdated or not applicable to your specific case. We highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If the problem continues, please open a new support ticket at WPML support forum.

Hello there, Thank you for contacting our support. Regarding the issue with the CSS, could you please elaborate a little more on this issue, so I can better understand? E.g. Is there a way for us to reproduce it?, what are the steps you've tried, etc. Sometimes screenshots illustrating what you mean may go a long way to clarify what words fail to transmit, so if you like, make use of “upload an image” below the comment area. With regard to the language switcher issue, given our support policy of having one issue per ticket, I'll split it into its separate ticket and provide you with an answer in the new ticket very quickly. Also, so that we can take a better look at this, could you please attach the Debug info? You can see how to retrieve and paste it here: https://wpml.org/faq/provide-debug-information-faster-support/. In summary, these are the steps that you need to take in order to retrieve it: - Go to WPML > Support > Debug Information I'm enabling the Debug Info template for your next reply. Thank you, please let us know. Mateus |

Hello there, Thank you for sharing those details and screenshots. In order for you to try to fix this issue, can you please follow these steps? - Please go to WPML -> Settings -> Custom Fields Translation If you find any of them, please try to set them to Copy, or to Copy Once(if they were already configured as 'Copy'). Then, go back to the original page/post, make a minor modification to it(adding an extra space suffices.) and save the post/page. Finally, edit the translation and save it as it is. After that, check how the styling in the second language will look like. If it doesn't work, I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to take better look at the issue. You will find the needed fields for this below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply. The information you will enter is private which means only you and I can see and have access to it. Our Debugging Procedures I will be checking various settings in the backend to see if the issue can be resolved. Although I won't be making changes that affect the live site, it is still good practice to backup the site before providing us access. In the event that we do need to debug the site further, I will duplicate the site and work in a separate, local development environment to avoid affecting the live site. Privacy and Security Policy We have strict policies regarding privacy and access to your information. Please see: **IMPORTANT** - Please make a backup of site files and database before providing us access. Please, let me know if you need any additional details. Have a nice day. |

Hello Lena, You can edit the main language home page for example. Then, please add an empty space anywhere in the page and save. This will cause WPML to identify that the translation needs update. Finally, please edit the home page translation and save the translation, making the new custom fields settings to be replicated. If after that the style is still different in the translated home page, please share access details of the site so I can investigate it. I'm re-enabling the private fields for your next reply. Thank you, |

Hello Lena, I tried accessing it but I'm getting the following error: "Forpsi - 403 Forbidden You don't have permission to access the requested object. It is either read-protected or not readable by the server." Can you please review it to see if it is possible to allow my access to the site's backend? Thank you, please let me know. |

Hello Lena, I was able to connect now, thank you. I noticed that you had already set the css field to copy as you mentioned. That was the first step. To finish fixing the issue I edited the home page, made a minor modification and then updated the translation. Please check the screencast where I show the steps: hidden link Now when I check the translated home page, it has the same styling as the main language. Can you please confirm that it is OK on your end as well? Best, |

I checked it and it looks like there was an extra field I needed to set to 'Copy' in WPML -> Settings -> Custom Field Translation: page_options. This fields carries the custom configuration for each page, including design options. After setting it to copy and updating the translation the issue seems fixed. Can you please test it again and let us know the results? Best, |
