This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
You are trying to use the WPML language switcher in the block editor, but it is not visible. This issue arises because the site uses the "SVG support" plugin, which is currently incompatible with WPML, preventing the language switcher block from appearing.
Solution:
Currently, the SVG support plugin is not compatible with WPML, which is why you are experiencing issues with the language switcher in the block editor. We recommend checking the compatibility of plugins on the WPML compatibility page. If you cannot find the SVG support plugin listed there, it likely means that compatibility has not yet been established. In this case, you might consider disabling the SVG support plugin temporarily to see if this resolves the issue with the language switcher.

If this solution does not apply to your case, or if it seems outdated, we highly recommend opening a new support ticket. Additionally, always ensure that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. For further assistance, please visit our support forum at WPML support forum.

Background of the issue:
I am trying to use the WPML language switcher in the block editor for a site similar to a previous one where I successfully added it to the navigation.

Symptoms:
The block editor does not offer the switcher element.

Questions:
Why is the WPML language switcher not visible in the block editor?
How can I add the WPML language switcher to the navigation in the block editor?

The site uses the "SVG support" plugin that WPML considers incompatible and turn off its block element.

How can WPML be fixed to work with SVG support? I also tried to check on the compatibility plugin list, but the list is categorized in such a way that I either didn't find it or it is not there.
