Background of the issue:
I am managing a multilingual site with two domains: hidden link for Portuguese and hidden link for English. I am using WPML to manage different domains per language. I have disabled all caching plugins, reset .htaccess, installed Multidomain Support for Elementor, and added the code to .htaccess. My host is Hostinger, and they have confirmed that SSL and parked domain are properly configured. PHP Memory limits have been increased, and 'Allow Translating login pages' is disabled.

Symptoms:
When I activate using a different domain per language, Elementor pages in English do not load, and I receive the browser error ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS.

Questions:
How can I resolve the ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS error when using different domains per language with WPML?
Is there a specific configuration needed for Elementor to work with WPML in a multidomain setup?

Hello,

Welcome to the WPML support forum.

Let’s go through a few steps to identify the root cause of the issue:

1. Check Domain Setup:
lease follow the steps in this documentation, especially the section on "Testing if the domains are set properly": https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/language-setup/language-url-options/how-to-use-wpml-with-different-domains-per-language/
In short:
- Temporarily deactivate WPML.
- Run the test as described in the documentation.
- If both domains display the same content without any redirection, proceed to the next step.

2. Validate domains with WPML
- Reactivate WPML and select "A different domain per language".
- Make sure that "Validate on save" is checked, then click "Save".
- If the domains are validated, go to "Settings > Permalinks" and resave your permalinks.

3. Test in minimal environnement
If the issue persists, try running the site in a minimal setup:
- Disable any additional plugin that is not related to WPML and its add-ons and switch to a default theme like Twenty Twenty. (I would recommend to start by deactivating Multidomain Support for Elementor as it not needed with WPML).

- If the issue disappears please start reactivating your plugins one by one, or activate them in small groups. This way you can verify at which point the issue appears again and identify the plugin that is causing the issue. Remember to resave your permalinks at each step.

I tested the site in multiple situations. Only when disabling the WPML secondary language does Elementor work for editing English pages.

I disabled all plugins in test environment, except Elementor and WPML related plugins, error still persists.

Note: All instructions from 1 and 2 were tried as well, and Multidomain support was also deactivated to no avail.

Hello,

Could you please provide me with a temporary admin access (wp-admin and FTP) – so I can further investigate. I will activate a private field for your next answer where you can provide that information safely (this field is only visible by you and the support team). Don't share your own admin account, create a new one that you will delete when we finish troubleshooting.

IMPORTANT: Before we proceed, please backup your site and database.

PS: FTP access is required because I need to check your .htaccess file.
