Background of the issue:
I am trying to enable the WPML plugin on my WordPress site, specifically for pagination in Elementor post and loop grid. The issue can be seen on this page: hidden link.
Symptoms:
When I enable the WPML plugin, the pagination shows the wrong URL. I expected to see the URL as hidden link, but instead, I got hidden link.
Questions:
Why does enabling WPML change the pagination URL?
How can I fix the pagination URL to display correctly with WPML enabled?
After investigating, I suspect this a broader compatibility issue between WPML and Avada. To confirm this, I've created a Sandbox (testing website), so we can check how the pagination behaves on a controlled server, from 0.
Please install Avada, and create blog posts so we have pagination on the blog archive page. Please don't take any other steps. I'll install and setup WPML on this website, and check how it behaves myself. You can access the website here:

The idea here is to check the pagination feature in isolation, so please don't import or create any unnecessary and unrelated content. I know this takes some effort, so I appreciate your cooperation on this matter.
It seems you've missed my last messages. Please follow the instructions I sent and let me know when you're ready! This way, I can continue checking the issue.
Not sure, you are misunderstanding. i don't use avada , i use astra theme, and elementor plugin. In this case I used the Elementor widget to create the post grid and pagination
Yes, precisely. I understood that. I need to check how your setup behaves on our testing website. Can you please just follow my instructions and let me know? Create the pagination using Elementor, while Astra is the theme. Let me know. Sorry if my instructions are unclear. What I need you to do is to recreate an example of the issue, from scratch, on the testing website I've created.
I lost the access to the Sandbox. I shared previously:
"The idea here is to check the pagination feature in isolation, so please don't import or create any unnecessary and unrelated content."
Though I see the site has many pages, images etc. Have you imported a whole website to the sandbox? I'm confused. It seems you overwrote what we had. Let me share a new Sandbox:

Please follow ONLY the steps below. Please DO NOT install, create or import ANYTHING that's not related to the issue:
Please DO NOT import, create or install ANYTHING that's not related to the issue. I need to check the issue in isolation, with no external interferences, so I can escalate that to our devs.
Thank you so much for sharing. There's some mismatch, though. I created a Sandbox myself, setup WPML, installed Astra, Elementor, created a few posts and created a page with the Elementor Posts widget, exactly as you did. I didn't have any issues, the pagination is working flawlessly, please check:

Can you please share in detail, the steps you took? There must've been something different, as it's working for me. Please be as concrete and as descriptive as possible, that might help us find the cause of the problem.
Thank you for waiting. Please follow these steps on your website or on its staging version:
1. Activate the parent Astra theme;
2. Create a new page with pagination from scratch;
3. Check the results and let me know;
Also, I need access to the staging website. I tried accessing it, but it seems to be offline. Can you please restore it?
If you need to share access again, I've activated the private fields. The required fields can be found below the comments section. The information you enter is private, i.e. only you and I can see it and have access to it.
I may need to replicate your website locally. To do this, I need to temporarily install a plugin called "Duplicator" or "All in One WP Migration" on your website. This will allow me to create a copy of your website and content. Once the issue is resolved, I will delete the local website. Let me know if this works for you.
IMPORTANT
Please make a backup copy of the site files and database before giving us access.
