Background of the issue:
I have a WooCommerce site with several hundred categories. The initial language is French, and the site is translated into English, Spanish, Portuguese, and German. We recently added descriptions to the categories in original language.

Symptoms:
The category descriptions are not automatically included in the translated category.

Questions:
Is there a way to automatically update all category translations to synchronize them with the original language?

Hi there,

You can try these steps:

Go to WooCommerce → WooCommerce Multilingual & Multicurrency and enter the Status tab.

Click on the Troubleshooting link in the bottom right corner of the page.

On the Troubleshooting page, check the box next to one of the corresponding sync options and hit the Start button. (Run "Sync Product Categories")

Don’t leave the page until the synchronization finishes.

Hello,
I tried this solution on a preprod at this address:

I only left 3 categories all having a description, but when I go to the troubleshooting page, the option indicates 0 left(s) and therefore does not synchronize.

My apologies I misunderstood, this function is meant to synchronize a category between the product language, not the category descriptions.
