[Resolved] Split: Form select content is on one line
This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem: The client reported an issue with a form on their website where multiple choice fields were appearing as a single line in the translation, despite being correctly displayed in the original language. Solution: We recommended using the Advanced Translation Editor to address this issue. Here are the steps we followed: 1. Clear the existing translated content to remove any hidden or problematic characters. 2. Re-copy the original source text into the translation editor. 3. Save the changes and purge the cache to ensure the updates take effect. This process should help in correctly displaying the multiple choice options in the translated version of the form.

Hi Christopher, I am going on checking everything and I found out another problem. We have a form in the website (you can see it at the following address: hidden link) and some fields have multiple choices. In your plugin, I find the multiple answers as one line. Once I translate it I do find the translation in the form but as a single line, with no multiple choices. How can I fix this? I am sending you a couple screenshots that maybe can help explaining the problem. If you need more info I can specifcy more or give you access to our WordPRess dashboard. Please let me know. Thanks.
I am already using the ATE, as you see in the screenshot I am attaching, but the problem is still there. This is a major issue - what can I tell my client? His German and French customers won't be able to use the form until you don't find a solution.
Thanks. that might be a new issue, but I can check and see if I can find the error, I'd appreciate it if you could give me the URL/User/Pass of your WordPress dashboard after you make sure that you have a backup of your website.
It is absolutely important that you give us a guarantee that you have a backup so if something happens you will have a point of restore.
Make sure you set the next reply as private.
If I fail to find the problem cause I might ask you to provide a copy/staging version of the website so we can do the troubleshooting there without the fear of breaking a live website.
That includes deactivating/activating plugins, changing stuf ...
Thank you for the information. Unfortunately, I can not acces sthe Advanced Translation editor for testing as the login user that you gave me does not have EMAIL in Users > Profile.
That is a necessary one to be able to enter the Advanced Translation Editor screen.
I tried to add my email but it needs your confirmation.
Please make sure that the given user has an email so I will be able to access ATE.
Hi, sorry about it... I can create an Admin user but I would need your e-mail address. If you send me an e-mail address, I can create the new admin user for you. That way you should be able to access all areas. Thanks.
Hi I don't know why but I can't find the way to set message as private anymore... so I have sent you details for the new account directly at your e-mail. Let me know if you don't receive it! Thank you.
I fixed the issue on the French version and demonstrated the same fix for the German version in the video. I used the Advanced Translation Editor, cleared the existing content, and re-copied the original source text to eliminate any hidden or problematic characters. After saving the changes and purging the cache, the translation worked correctly. This method ensures a clean slate for resolving translation display issues.
Hi Christophe, thank you very much. I watched the video and all is fine. I think the Italian (originale version) was different when I first tried to add translation, as options were all in one line (you can see it in the JPG I am sending you). So I guess updating plugins probably solved something too. Moreover, I had added the translation all at once instead of on by one (being all in one line). Good thing you were able to solve it! Thanks again.
