Problem:
The client noticed that the categories are scattered and not in chronological order in the English language.
Solution:
If you're experiencing scattered categories in a non-chronological order, we recommend you try synchronizing your categories. Here are the steps:
1. Go to WPML → Taxonomy Translation
2. Select the categories
3. And Sync

This solution might be irrelevant if it's outdated or not applicable to your case. We highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If the issue persists, please open a new support ticket at WPML support forum.

P.s. Another thing we noticed is that the categories are scattered and not in chronological order in the English language, can you give us a clue, and maybe you can read how to make nice cateogries ?

Hi, I'm attaching two screenshots, it's somehow strangely displaying the English language, while the Lithuanian language is fine.

Have you tried to sync the categories?

Here are the steps:

1. Go to WPML → Taxonomy Translation

2. Select the categories

3. And Sync

Please also try to run the troubleshooting option in WPML → Support → Troubleshooting:

- Clear the cache in WPML
- Remove ghost entries from the translation tables
- Fix element_type collation
- Set language information
- Fix WPML tables collation
- Assign translation status to duplicated content
- Fix terms count
- Fix post type assignment
