This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem:
The client reported issues with widgets being disorganized after changing the default language. They were unable to translate headers, footers, and certain WooCommerce settings independently. Additionally, the 'My Account' icon/link was not functioning correctly across different languages, and changes made with WPML were breaking the website.
Solution:
For translating widgets, we advised the client to use the WPML > String Translation section. It is necessary to delete and then re-add the widgets, likely due to the default language switch. We provided a video tutorial to assist with this process: https://www.loom.com/share/5afc277cc99c4783ad12a48f8a1c0d56.
Regarding the 'My Account' icon/link, it was not added as a widget. We created a separate support ticket to address this issue, and the client can follow up there: https://wpml.org/forums/topic/split-translate-my-account-icon-link/.
If this solution does not resolve your issue or seems outdated, we recommend opening a new support ticket. We also highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins.
