[Closed] Translate plugin / function

While you are waiting for one of my colleagues to take this ticket and work on it, let me provide you with first debugging steps or if I can perhaps help with the issue quickly.

This seems to be a new compatibility issue, as the plugin is not listed at our compatibility list.

In these cases, these are the procedures:
- Install the plugin in a clean installation and reproduce the problem in this new installation. So we can isolate it and do some testing without the interference of server settings or other plugins
- After this, we will check the problem in this new installation and look for a quick solution
- If we can not find a solution, we will forward the problem to our compatibility team
- The compatibility team will do some more testing and will contact the product author to fix the issue

I created a test website with a clean WordPress install. You can access it through this link: hidden link - Through this link you will be automatically logged in.

Please upload the plugin to this test install, setup it the same way as in your website (using the same options) and create some dummy content to reproduce the issue. Please note that we only need the plugin and the related functionality, you don't need to setup a entire website or clone your existing site.

After that, please send us clear steps on how to see/reproduce the issue on this test install. We will run some tests.

I translated the homepage and I can see the filter in both languages, can you check and verify this.

Regarding the fatal error, it's happening with the rental and booking plugin

Fatal error: Uncaught Exception: Failed to parse time string (28/11/2023) at position 0 (2): Unexpected character in /var/www/sites/awesome-cabasa/wp-content/plugins/woocommerce-rental-and-booking/vendor/nesbot/carbon/src/Carbon/Traits/Creator.php:87

You can compare the settings between the test site and you site.

Also, I would suggest you to disable all other plugins and themes on your live site so we can confirm if it's not an compatibility issue.

What kind of shortcode do you apply? I see only this inspect shotcode: [inspect_listing post_id="61"] but is teems, you insert [inspect_listing post_id="75"]. Should we use the same code for both languages?

Yes, use the same shortcode in both languages, no need to modify the id.

 How can I translate the texts of the filter?

- Go to WPML->String Translations
- At the bottom of the String Translation table, click on “Translate link in admin screens”
- Search for the strings there and see if you can find it.
- If you are able to find it, select it and add it using “Add to string translation” button
- Click on “Return to String Translations”
- Translate it

1. It's currently not possible to migrate the site setup at the moment, so the only option is to check the settings and to check minimal setup.

2. I used the shortcode that you added on the page, but I didn't generate any shortcode. You can find the default language shortcode here: hidden link

3. I suggest you open a new chat for this issue so we can test the issue in depth. As per our support policy, we only take one issue per ticket/chat.

I haven't modified the shortcode, it's strange how it got changed, I just change it back to [inspect_search_form post_id="61"] and it's working too.
