This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client installed WooCommerce Multilingual & Multicurrency and chose not to translate the product attribute 'Cell Phone Model'. When switching to English on the product page, the 'Cell Phone Model' dropdown shows no attributes, and a padlock icon indicates attributes are imported from Italian but they are not displaying.
Solution:
We recommend setting the attribute to be translatable by default. You should:
1. Ensure your global attributes are set to translatable from WPML > Settings.
2. Translate them from WPML > Taxonomy translation.
3. Update your default language, then translate the product.
For more detailed guidance, please refer to our documentation on translating global attributes, shipping classes, and other taxonomies.

If this solution does not resolve your issue or seems outdated, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. Background of the issue:
I installed WooCommerce Multilingual & Multicurrency and during the setup, I chose not to translate the product attribute 'Cell Phone Model' because the variation names are globally recognized models like Google Pixel. My client’s site is hidden link.

Symptoms:
When switching to English on the product page hidden link, the 'Cell Phone Model' dropdown shows no attributes. Inside the single product, a padlock icon indicates attributes are imported from Italian, but they are not displaying.

Questions:
How can I fix the issue where the 'Cell Phone Model' attributes are not showing in English?
Why does the padlock icon indicate attributes are imported from Italian but they are not displaying?

Hello!
I can’t manage to edit the attributes inside the product… how can I unlock this situation? Thanks a lot.

Hello,

you can not that is not expected method to translate products, you should not edit or adjust the translated product manually.

As I have said and shared docs, make sure your global attributes are set to translatable from WPML > Settings and then translate them from WPML > Taxonomy translation.

Once attributes translated, you can then sync and/or re-translate the product via WPML ATE editor and it should work fine.

Drazen

Hello.
You’re right! I just had to wait for the synchronization process to finish... there were almost 7,000 variations, so it took quite a while. I’ve now refreshed the page and everything seems to be working correctly. I’ll keep this ticket open for another 24 hours in case I have further questions... thank you very much!
