Hey guys,
There is a new blog article on a customers site:
hidden link
(This is in dutch)

They have made a french translation:
hidden link

But also this link is working
hidden link

blog-en is not a category for that language tho. But for the language english. So when going to fr/blog-en/ should result in going to /fr/blog-fr or display a 404.

How to set this up? Thanks in advnace!

Hi,

Thank you for contacting WPML Support, I will be happy to help you.

In order to expedite handling your support requests, can you please share WPML support debug information from your site?

* To provide the debug information:

- Login to your site and go to WPML -> Support, in there click on the “debug information” link at the bottom of the page.
- Once on the “debug information” page, select the entire text box content and copy it.
- Go back to our support forum, find the debug information box, and paste it.

More information on the link: https://wpml.org/faq/provide-debug-information-faster-support/

* Could you please check if clearing the cache of the website (including server-side cache) helps with the issue?

Looking forward to your reply,
Marsel

Hey Marsel, I also dont have any caching enabled. Is there maybe a setting so that the categories from other languages dont work as slugs for languages where its not supposed to?
So that for french language, only slugs of translated categories work, but not all from other languages. thank you very much

Thank you for the update and the debug info.

In order to investigate this issue and understand it better, I would need a temporary access to your site's WP-admin.

* If you have a staging site that would be better.

Please make a full backup of your site (files and database) and confirm it in your next reply.

Your next reply is set to private for you to provide the username and password details.

Thanks,
Marsel
