after adding a new language and trying to translate the main page - an error popped up

WordPress version 6.4.3
Current theme: Impreza (version 8.16)
Problem plugin: WPML Multilingual CMS (version 4.6.9)

Thank you for contacting WPML Support. It seems you are facing the same error that is reported here and the workaround is also given. Can you please take a complete backup of your site and try the workaround from this errata: https://wpml.org/errata/fatal-error-uncaught-invalidargumentexception-item-should-be-a-collection-or-an-array-or-an-object-when-visiting-wpml-settings/ and see if this resolves your issue.
