You are looking to transfer WPML license and billing responsibilities to your client but are unable to find the necessary information on our website.
Solution:
As of January 13, 2026, it is no longer possible to transfer renewals directly to your clients. If you wish to hand over control of a site you've built, here are the steps we recommend:
1. Unregister the WPML plugin from your account.
2. Instruct your client to purchase their own WPML subscription.
3. Have them re-register the site under their new account by following this link: https://wpml.org/purchase/paying-wpml-renewal-for-my-site/
Rest assured, this process will not affect or lose any existing translations.
