This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client is experiencing an issue where an extra menu appears briefly in mobile view during a speed test and then disappears.
Solution:
We recommend temporarily disabling optimization settings such as preloading, lazy loading, and deferred JavaScript execution in your optimization plugin to see if the issue persists. If the problem continues, disable all plugins except for WPML, String Translation, and Elementor, and test the site from a different browser or an incognito window. If this resolves the issue, reactivate the plugins one by one, testing after each activation to identify any conflicts with WPML.

If these steps do not resolve the issue or if the solution seems outdated or irrelevant to your case, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If the problem persists, please open a new support ticket at WPML support forum for further assistance.

Background of the issue:
I am experiencing an issue with my site hidden link. When I run a speed test, it shows a menu popup in mobile and then it disappears. I turned off the plugin in a dev environment and the menu disappeared.

Symptoms:
An extra menu shows up briefly in mobile view during a speed test and then disappears.

Questions:
What can I do so that WPML doesn't add a second menu?

Hi There,
Thanks for contacting WPML Support.

Before this thread is assigned to my colleague, I'd like to offer some initial guidance and potential solutions.

The issue where elements briefly appear and then disappear is often caused by optimization settings in the optimization plugin, particularly preloading, lazy loading, and deferred JavaScript execution. Since you're using an optimization plugin on your site, could you temporarily disable these optimization options and check again to see if the issue persists?

If the issue continues, please disable all plugins on your site except for WPML, String Translation, and Elementor, then check if the problem still occurs. Make sure to test from a different browser or an incognito window.

If this resolves the issue, start reactivating the plugins one by one, testing after each activation. This will help you identify if any plugin is conflicting with WPML.

Let us know the update. We will be happy to help if you need further assistance in this matter.

Best regards,
Prosenjit

Hi there.

This issue appears to be caused by one of the other active plugins or the current theme, as my colleague mentioned.

Please let me know the results after you follow the steps shared in the previous reply.

Thank you.
