I am migrating my website from hidden link to hidden link. I wanted to translate all my products on hidden link using the translation memory from hidden link to German and English. To do this, I coupled the two websites as described by the WPML documentation.
It worked for a product I did by hand. It recognized the translation from the old site and correctly put it in the new site without deducting credits.
However, then I clicked all my products and said automatically translate to German and English. And it charged me around 70000 translation credits. It shouldn't have charged these as everything should've been extracted from translation memory.
Also all of the translations were stuck on the gear icon so I cancelled them all from the JOBS list. However, even after cancelling, the credits are still deducted.
Also, the translations I did manually are still stuck on the gear icon (see printscreen)
Thank you for contacting WPML support, I'd be happy to help you with this issue.
We can handle one issue per ticket only so in this ticket, I will focus on the translation memory issue. Checking on our server, I can see the issue with the product page hidden link (for example).
I'm discussing this issue with my colleague and update you here when I have something to share.
The minimum requirements are 128M, but we do recommend 256M and the debug information of your site shows it set to 40M. Please check this link for more details https://wpml.org/home/minimum-requirements/.
You can increase it by adding the following code in your wp-config.php file, right before the /* That’s all, stop editing! Happy publishing. */ line:
I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to take a better look at the issue. Your next reply is set to private to share the info.
❌ IMPORTANT: Please backup your database and website before proceeding ❌
You can use this plugin to create the backup: https://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/
✙ I would need your permission to de-activate and re-activate Plugins and the Theme to change configurations on the site if needed. This is also a reason the backup is critical.
Now I see those products are translated completely, please check the screenshot attached. Maybe it is a temporary issue or the translations are delivered completely to your site after deactivating a/some plugins?
I can also translate a page without any issues, here is an example hidden link
I checked and it works for a few pages and then it gets stuck at the gear icon again. So I can translate about 3-4 pages a day and then the next page / product I try it gets stuck on.
I can manually translate a page completely, please check this screen record hidden link
For those products, I can also cancel the jobs and re-translate them to English, German as well. Please check the attached screenshot. You can try to translate the content again with the shared account and see if it works.
The weird thing that I figured out that is happening is that each day I am allowed to do around 7 translations. After these 7 translations, the gear icon is back and I have to wait another 24 hours before I can do additional translations.
The translations you were able to do succesfully were because these were the first of that day.
For some reason there is a daily limit on the amount of translations I push from the ATE.
So we can see the translation content with ATE is delivered to your site completely. And there isn't a limitation to translate content on your site with ATE.
After completing the translation in ATE, our server will send the content to your site via Rest API so I think you can check if there is any incoming request on your hosting or Cloudflare.
Look forward to your reply.
Thanks
