This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client is experiencing an issue where an image in a carousel on their German page remains in English, despite being added to the WPML media library. The problem seems to be due to the use of different image sizes in different languages, causing WPML not to recognize them as the same image.
Solution:
We recommend installing a plugin like Regenerate Thumbnails and running it to ensure all image sizes are properly generated across languages. This should allow the correct (translated) image to appear on the frontend. If the issue persists after trying this solution, please check our related known issues, verify the version of the permanent fix, and confirm that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If the solution provided here does not resolve the issue or seems outdated, we encourage you to open a new support ticket for further assistance. You can do so at our support forum.

Dear Drazen,

thanks for the different tickets; it's easier to keep the overview. But on your front support page, it is recommended to just open one ticket.

So we keep this one here for 5. Page certificate

Okay I noticed that the error is on our WP staging site, the editor of the page looks different from the view of the page.

But there is one issue with WPML Media
I added all testimonials to the WPML media library. I don't understand why the second one in the carousel has a different name than the others.
But unfortunately the image stays in English on the German page.

Hi,

Thanks for the update.

From what I can see, the issue is likely related to image sizes. In the default language, a scaled/cropped version of the image is being used, while in the secondary language the full image is used. Because of this mismatch, WPML does not recognize them as the same image, so the translated version is not shown.

This can happen if images were optimized or resized after upload.

I suggest installing a plugin like “Regenerate Thumbnails” and running it so all image sizes are properly generated across languages. After that, the correct (translated) image should appear on the frontend.

From my check, the image itself is translated correctly, it’s just not loading the correct version.

Let me know if that helps.

Best regards,
Dražen
