[Resolved] translating post and portofolio, image disapear
This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem:
I have an automatic translation of some posts and the portfolio, but the images are not showing. The theme I am using is called Kallyas.
Solution:
This is an option from the Kallyas theme and the images are saved in a custom field. All you have to do is to go to WPML → Settings → Custom Fields Translation and set the zn_port_media custom field to copy.
Once I go back to the original portfolio item and simply hit the Update button, the images appeared on the translation too.
I have automatic translation of some posts and the portfolio, but the images are not showing. The theme is kallyas.
The post are tap2go - tap2go campania
On the home page, in the IT version, at the bottom there are our latest stories, with images, in the EN version the images disappear
Can you go to WPML → Settings → Media Translation → How to handle media for new content and make sure that all the options from here are checked, please?
Also, please edit the Tap2Go-Campania post in Italian and make sure that the options from the screenshot I attached are checked, the simply hit the Update button. This way, the image should be visible to the translation as well.
Please give this a try and tell me how things work.
Hi, I tried to translate tap2go (no tap2go - campania - tap2go is in the portfolio, while tap2go - campania is a post), but it doesn't work. I also tried with ecovia-mexico (other portfolio), but when I launched update the system remained on translation refresh and does not go on. This is an issue I had already had with the homepage as well (there is another open ticket on this issue). I attach screen.
Can you check again the translation of the portfolio item, please? hidden link
I used the credentials from the other ticket (hope it's all right) and I checked the portfolio item. It turns out that this is an option from the Kallyas theme and the images are saved in a custom field. All I had to do was to go to WPML → Settings → Custom Fields Translation and set the zn_port_media custom field to copy.
Once I went back to the original portfolio item and simply hit the Update button, the images appeared on the translation too.
