This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem:
You are trying to start automatic translation, but it is not working, and the translation remains on hold.
Solution:
We recommend deleting and re-registering your WPML key on your website. This action often resolves issues with connecting to our Translation Editor. Please follow the steps outlined in this documentation on how to remove and reinsert the key: https://wpml.org/faq/how-to-remove-the-this-site-is-registered-on-wpml-org-as-a-development-site-notice/#what-if-the-notice-still-appears-after-moving-to-production. After updating the key, test the functionality of the website again.
If this solution does not resolve your issue or seems irrelevant due to being outdated or not applicable to your case, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If the problem persists, please open a new support ticket for further assistance.
