Hello, I will try to explain the question briefly wihout overloading you with data. I am trying to import from Excel files just one test product. I have no problem loading data from file in the product in the basic Italian language. Problems arise when loading the data for the English translation. I have four attributes, and all of them are translated: Color (checked "In variations", "Is taxonomy", "Is visible") In Italian I can load successfully all four attributes. I would be much thankful for your opinion. |

Hi there, Thank you for contacting WPML support, I'd be happy to help you with this issue. Follow the documentation https://wpml.org/documentation/related-projects/wpml-all-import-plugin-website-import-with-wpml/importing-variable-products-in-multiple-languages-with-wp-all-import-and-wpml/ please try to create the attributes manually and translate them before importing variable products then start importing again. Note: In the Attributes tab, uncheck the option to Auto-Create Terms. If you still have an issue when importing variable products, please try to replicate the issue on this sandbox site hidden link Look forward to your reply. |

Hello, thank you for your answer. I will look again into the linked support page and compare with it the procedure I have followed so far. Concerning your suggestions "create attributes manually and translate them before importing" and "uncheck the option to Auto-Create Terms" they were already attended. I'll let you know soon, thanks! |

Hello, after deep inspection of my website, and other import attemps, nothing has changed. I have replicated a minimum install in the sandbox (as per your link) and have found out that the problem has been replicated too, as you can see in the screenshots below: in the EN import (second language) colors appear in both languages. What's even worse is that in some data imports, without changing any setting, also the IT import (default language) displays colors in both languages, as you can see in the sandbox. Please consider that I have kept import data to a minimum in order to make it easier to detect the problem. Could you kindly have a look and give me some hints? Thank you. |

Hello again, I may have found a solution, and would like you to give me your opinion. After importing IT + EN, in EN product the Color and Diameter attributes (those with checkboxes in "In variations" and "Is visible ") display in both languages. But if I go to WooCommerce > WooCommerce Multilingual & Multicurrency > Attributes > Attribute to translate: Color, and here click the "Syncro attributes and update variations" button, the unwanted attributes in IT in the EN product are removed. Is this a correct procedure or a bug that you may fix? And is this safe, or might it bring about negative effects in other product variations? Should I make a DB backup before? Thank you. |

Hi, Thanks for your details and for sharing the solution. I can replicate the issue from scratch and use the solution to fix the issue. I'm asking our 2nd tier support about this issue and update you here when I have something to share. Meanwhile, you can click on the button to sync attributes across languages. You should create a backup file before proceeding. Regards. |

Hi, I got some info from our development team, there is a workaround to fix the issue. You should switch the language with the language switcher at the topbar for the translation product before running the import, please check this screenshot hidden link Let me know how it goes. |
