[Resolved] connect the automatic translation credits between the two copies of this site
This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem: The client was unable to find the migration code necessary for connecting automatic translation credits between two copies of their site. Additionally, they encountered issues with outdated WPML components and needed guidance as a beginner on how to proceed with updates and configurations. Solution: We advised the client to follow the documentation on automatic translation subscription for multiple sites, which can be found here: https://wpml.org/documentation/automatic-translation/automatic-translation-subscription-for-multiple-sites/. We manually connected the two site environments for the client and updated the WPML plugin to the latest version to ensure all components were current. We also deactivated unnecessary WPML glue plugins that were not in use.
If this solution does not resolve your issue, or if it seems outdated or irrelevant to your specific case, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If further assistance is needed, please open a new support ticket at WPML support forum.

Background of the issue:
I am trying to connect the automatic translation credits between the two copies of my site hidden link. I need to find the migration code.
Symptoms:
I cannot find the migration code.
Questions:
Where do I find the migration code? If I click on the link the same site comes up from the start...what do I do?
I checked your link, but i do not have translation mangagment in wpml in wordpress. Please see attached. The same window pops up. I need to enter the migration code. When I use my key from purchase same message comes up. I only have a ”media translation”. The site that should come up according to your link- i don’t have it.
The message says: error with sharing automatic translation credits. Woml cannot connect the old url to the new url. And i need to report this issue to wpml support. I really need that fixed. I can’t work on my website as long as I cannot use this app properly. Please help.
I don’t know what you mean with: ”You will notice that the is a full upload URL displayed instead of an image.” I have no spanish site or language on my site. I don’t know how you do these changes.
Regarding sharing the 2 urls do you mean when I am logged in to wordpress when the window pops up about me needing to contact you?!
I don’t know which link you are taking about. I have not ser up the wpml on my site. I had a company doing this before and I don’t work with them anymore. So, i have basically not much of an idea what you are talking about. You need to talk to me like a beginner. Where do I have to go in to do tjese changes step by step. As mentioned I do not have the same layout as the romanian guy asked my to check. I can’t see any wpml dashboard kn wordpress when i click on wpml in the meny.
I am not sure if this is related to the problem. But some pages have a different original language. Is that a problem? seee attached. I think that happened when I translated in wordpress. But this has been a problem since I changed my main language from english to swedish as before my domain was .com and now my main domain is .se. Does this contribute to the problem? As I have no time to wait for weeks for this problem to fix I already started to make changed within the different pages and languages. How will that affect wpml translation?!
Sorry, but this issue is not resolved. I logged into wordpress today and clicked on wpml. I still need a migration code that I cannot access as I cannot access translation management under wpml.
I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to test the issue.
(preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated if possible)
**Before we proceed It is necessary to take FULL BACKUP of your database and your website. Providing us with access, you agree that a backup has been taken **
I often use the Duplicator plugin for this purpose: http://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/
You will find the needed fields for this below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply.
The information you enter is private which means only you and I have access to it.
NOTE: If access to the live site is not possible and the staging site does not exist please provide me with a duplicator package created with the duplicator plugin.
Hi Bobby, before I enter the private chat I want to inform you that I have made a back-up. But with the duplicator plug-in an error message is coming up that I cannot solve. So I could not duplicate the page. Cloudways, where I have my site, can’t help me and I did not pay for premium duplicator so I cannot chat with them. Is it enough with a backup only?
