Background of the issue:
I have translated all of the content that needs to be translated from English to Spanish on my site hidden link. I am trying to sync the menu items with the main English site and ensure that all posts display as their translated versions.

The main sait url is - hidden link
The Spanish site is - hidden link

Symptoms:
The menu items are not synced with the main English site. Many posts are not displaying as the translated versions. The home page is not displaying some of the Elementor loop items as being translated, and none of those items point to the translated content.

Questions:
I have synced the menus but they are not the same as main English site?
Why are many posts not displaying as their translated versions?
Why are all the translated posts not pointing to the correct url
How can I ensure that the Elementor loop items on the home page display as translated?

Hi,

I've created a copy of your site with the Duplicator plugin and downloaded it to my machine. I'll continue to investigate this issue and keep you updated here. Please confirm receipt of my message and provide further details about the Elementor issue you are experiencing. Please explain how I can see it, and if possible, send me screenshots of the problem. I'll then be able to split this ticket into a new ticket.

Thanks,
Itamar.

Hi,

I'm having trouble installing the package from your site on my local server. Therefore, I went ahead and tried to reproduce this problem on a fresh WordPress installation with WPML and ACF. However, I am unable to reproduce the issue. You are welcome to check my test site at the following link, which will enable you to access the WordPress admin:

If you can replicate the issue there, please let me know.

To continue assisting you, please proceed with the following steps.

1. If possible, delete the Spanish menu and recreate it.

2. Otherwise, please try the troubleshooting section.

A. Take a backup of the DB of your site.

B. Go to WPML -> Support -> Troubleshooting (link)

C. Once on the troubleshooting screen, press the following buttons and check if it helps. Press each button at a time and wait for the process to complete.

- 'Disable cache for language switcher templates'

- 'Clear language information and repopulate languages' button (if it is showing)

- 'Synchronize posts taxonomies' for 'Day Tours'

- 'Clear the cache in WPML'

- 'Remove ghost entries from the translation tables'

- 'Fix element_type collation'

- 'Fix WPML tables collation'

- 'Synchronize local job ids with ATE jobs'

- 'Synchronize translators and translation managers with ATE'

- 'Assign translation status to duplicated content'

- 'Set language information'

- 'Reset languages' Press this button only if you didn't add a custom language!

- 'Fix terms count'

- 'Fix post type assignment for translations'

- 'Cleanup and optimize string tables'

- 'Clear invalid strings'

*** Please make a backup of your database before using this.***

Regards,
Itamar.

Hi, none of this is helpful at all. I have provided full admin access to our site using my login credentials. Please take a look at our live site and have a good look, you will see that there are multiple problems which are just too many and complicated to list here.

Since you work for the company, you must surely know how this plugin works and how it can be fixed. We have paid for the pro licence and translation credits, I have translated the areas of the site that I want to translate which is essentially everything accept the Blog section. So I fully expected for all of the translated pages to work and for the menu to be simply a Spanish version or the default English Menu. None of this has happened.

It is simply not possible to recreate this problem on a test or sandbox site as we have many custom post types, custom fields, Elementor templates, loop items etc. Please login to the live site, using my login credentials that I previously provided and it is obvious that the site is not working in Spanish.

If you are unable to fix our problem then please tell me, if this is the case then we would like a full refund of the licence fee plus all of the translation credits that we have already purchased.

I really hope that you can solve our problem

Best regards

Hi, and thanks for trying my suggestions.

In this ticket, we focus on the issue with the Spanish menu. On our support forum, we focus on one issue per ticket. I've escalated this to our second-tier supporters. When I receive news from them, I'll update you here.

For the other issues you are experiencing, please open a new ticket for each separate issue, and our support team will help you with those issues.

Regards,
Itamar.

Hi,

Our second-tier supporter explains that you can resolve this issue in the following manner.

1. Go to ACF -> Post Types.
2. Edit the 'Day Tours' post type.
3. Translate it or duplicate it into Spanish.

If you choose the duplicate option, you must switch to the WordPress editor. Please see the attached screenshot.

After that, you will be able to add those items to the Spanish menu.

Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Regards,
Itamar.
