Background of the issue:
I am trying to use WPML and WooCommerce Multilingual & Multicurrency to display manual product prices in secondary currencies (DKK, SEK, NOK) on the frontend. I also want to ensure the plugin is recognized as installed and active by WPML. The issue can be seen at hidden link.

Symptoms:
Product prices are still shown using exchange rates, even though I manually set specific prices for secondary currencies on each product. In WPML > Support, it shows 'WooCommerce Multilingual & Multicurrency: Not installed, No, n/a' — even though the plugin is clearly installed and active.

Questions:
Why are the manually set product prices not displaying correctly in secondary currencies?
Why does WPML not recognize the WooCommerce Multilingual & Multicurrency plugin as installed and active?

Hello,
Thank you for contacting us

Please share the access credentials to the site in your next message, which I have set private. I want to double-check the Multicurrency configuration and reproduce the issue.

Confirm you have created a full site backup that you can restore if necessary.

Best regards,
Carlos

Hi Johannes,
Thank you very much for sharing the credentials requested.

Before we continue, I kindly ask you to update all outdated plugins and the core that appear outdated in this link: hidden link

If the issue persists after updating the functionalities mentioned above, then I will need to run further tests by activating/deactivating plugins and themes in order to isolate the cause of the issue. Please let me know if these tests can be run on this site, or as an alternative, if you can create a staging site where we can run the tests without affecting the live site (you can create a staging site using the WP Staging plugin for free)

In the case that you create the staging site (recommended option) then share the access credentials in your next message, which I have set private.

Looking forward to your message.

Hi,

I'm running the latest version of WP and all essential plugins are up to date. I'm not getting any notifications on these ticket updates, hence the delay in answer. If possible add johannesrossi92@gmail.com as cc to your next reply. Please investigate as I need to solve this asap.

Thanks in advance!

-Johannes

Hi Johannes,
Thank you for your messages

I ran some troubleshooting steps on the site and disabled the Wordfence plugin because it was blocking the WordPress API Rest needed by WPML to communicate with our servers.

Please check if the multicurrency is working correctly (it is set by client location, so I can only see the prices in €).

Note: The WooCommerce Multilingual & Multicurrency plugin had to be renamed to 'WPML Multilingual & Multicurrency for WooCommerce', and that is the reason why it is not recognized in WPML -> Support, but this is just a cosmetic thing and won't affect any functionality on the site.

This has not solved the issue. You can momentarily change the pricing to be based on site language if you don't have vpn to run the tests with. The prices shown in DDK, SEK and NOK are neither based on the exchange rates set by me to multilingual nor the product specific prices which are set for these currencies and definitely not showing. This is a major issue..

Hi Johannes,
Thank you very much for your message and for your authorization

I switched for a moment the multicurrency configuration to display the currencies based on the active language, and used this product hidden link to see the behavior.

The result is that the multicurrency functionality is not fully working, and I suspect that the issue might be related to a third-party functionality or the aggressive cache memory. Could you create a staging site with a copy of the production site (you might use the WP Staging plugin for free) and share the access credentials in your next message, which I have set private?

The same credentials you recieved before should work here as well. Please do whatever you need to find a fast solution now. I have the same issue on another site as well but there other stuff needs to be solved before this and I'm hoping this solution can be applied there.

Hi Johannes,
Thank you for creating the staging site

I kindly ask you to register the staging site with a new WPML key because it was unregistered. Let me know when this is done.

Hi Johannes,
Thank you for your authorization

I have registered the site as a development site and tested it in a minimal setup (only the Astra parent theme and WooCommerce), and the price in Euros is not correctly displayed. This means that the problem is not in the WPML plugins. I'd recommend checking the WooCommerce configuration and contact their support service if necessary.

If you activate the WPML plugins, including WPML Multilingual & Multicurrency for WooCommerce, you will see the same behavior in the prices of the secondary currencies.

Hi,

How should I formulate such ticket to woo support? Another issue I'm experiencing on sites running on WPML is that the store content gets completely blank on the shop page. This happens after a random period of time and only solution is to flush permalinks which is only a temporary fix until the issue appears again. This as well is on sites running with WPML...

Hi,

1.- You can ask the WooCommerce support service to investigate why you set a price in the backend and the frontend shows a different price.

2.- Please open a new ticket describing the problem with the shop page and share a video where the problem can be seen. This allows us to reproduce the issue and find a solution. Also, because this is a different issue from the original one, opening a new ticket will follow our support policy of solving one problem per ticket.

Can you demonstrate to me how the prices were not displaying correctly in € in your test. For me the prices work correctly and using woos multicurrency setup also works but not WPML. This is important if lifting this with Woo and not you.
