Using taxonomy translation, we have translated existing custom taxonomies to the fr-fr and it-it languages.
The current scenario is, for example, that we have one taxonomy named demo for en-us, demo-fr-fr for fr-fr, and demo-it-it for it-it.

The issue is that when we try to open archive pages for demo-fr-fr and demo-it-it, it gives me a 404 error, but it works for demo perfectly.

Please help on this topic.

Thank you for contacting WPML Support, I will gladly help you.

Can you please share WPML support debug information from your site?

- Once on the “debug information” page, select the entire text box content and copy it.
- Go back to our support forum, find the debug information box, and paste it.

More information on the link: https://wpml.org/faq/provide-debug-information-faster-support/

* Please do not share the debug info in your reply, only in the specific box on your reply.

1) Can you share any link where I can check the issue on your site?

2) Could you please try clearing the cache of the website (server-side included) and check if the issue persists?

Looking forward to your reply,
Marsel

Hi,

Thank you for the update.

1) Could you please tell me how you are adding and translating the taxonomy?

2) Would it be possible to check if the issue happens in a minimal setup, that meaning:

- keep the theme you have
- keep active only WPML Plugins and must-have plugins
- disable all other plugins

This should help check if there is any plugin conflict causing the issue.

Note: Please make sure you have a full backup (files & database) before trying anything on your website.

Looking forward to your reply,
Marsel
