Problem:
You are trying to ensure that product category images appear in the translated languages on your site, but the images do not appear in these languages.
Solution:
If you're experiencing this issue, we recommend you try the following steps:
1. Navigate to WPML >> Settings > Custom Term Meta Translation.
2. Set the

thumbnail_id

field to Copy.
3. Re-save the product categories in the default language to copy the thumbnail field into secondary languages.

This should resolve the issue and the category images should now appear correctly in the translated languages. If this solution does not apply to your case, or if it seems outdated, please check the related known issues and verify that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If the problem persists, we highly recommend that you open a new support ticket.

Hi,

Thank you for contacting WPML Support. I can see the issue on the secondary language shop page. Could you please try to follow the below steps and see if this resolves the issue:

1. Take a backup of your site first for safety reasons.

2. Go to the WPML >> Settings > Media Translation section, and press the Start button after selecting all enabled checkboxes as you can see in the attached screenshot.

3. Clear all sorts of site/server/CDN cache and see if this resolves the issue.

Kindly let me know the results,
Thank you

Hello!

I just followed the steps but the problem unfortunately remains. I don't have a cache plugin so there is no cache to clear.

Thanks for trying it. To take a closer look at this issue, please provide temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP Login info) to your site (preferably staging site), so that I can look into your setup and debug the issue.

Your next answer will be private which means only you and I have access to it.

=== Please backup your database and website ===

✙ I would additionally need your permission to deactivate and reactivate Plugins and the Theme and to change configurations on the site. This is also a reason the backup is really important.

Thank you for your cooperation

Thanks for providing the login details. I followed the below steps:

1. Set the “thumbnail_id” field to “Copy” from WPML >> Settings > Custom Term Meta Translation.

2. Re-saved the product categories in default language to copy the thumbnail field into secondary languages.

Now, it seems to show the category images correctly. Could you please check and confirm?

Thank you for your cooperation
