Hi i have a match problem with a only custom post type.
From ITA to ENG the match works but from ENG to ITA doesn't work (404).

How to solve this?

Thanks for contacting WPML Support. I will try my best to assist you in this matter.

I understood that a 404 error appears when you try to Switch from English to Italian language. Would you kindly try the solution below and check if that helps to resolve the issue for you?

1) Please open the post in the WordPress editor and make sure that the translation is 100% completed. You should see a pencil icon if the translation is fully completed.

2) Flush the permalink structure in "Dashboard > Settings > Permalinks", by clicking the "Save changes" button without making any changes.

3) If that didn't help, go to the "WPML > Support > Troubleshooting" page, then click the following:

- Clear the Cache in WPML
- Remove ghost entries from the translation tables
- Fix element_type collation
- Fix WPML table collation
- Set language information
- Fix post type assignment for translations

Please make sure that you have a full database and website backup before proceeding.

I did all the you suggestion but doesn't work.

Since the issue persists even after that, a closer inspection will require to understand the root cause of the issue. I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to take a better look at the issue. Kindly share the name/link of the page as well while sharing the access information.

You will find the needed fields for this below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply. The information you will enter is private which means only you and I can see and have access to it.

IMPORTANT
-Please make a backup of site files and database before providing us access.
-If you do not see the wp-admin/FTP fields this means your post & website login details will be made PUBLIC. DO NOT post your website details unless you see the required wp-admin/FTP fields. If you do not, please ask me to enable the private box. The private box looks like this:

Hello There,
Thanks for sharing the access information.

While checking the plugins, I found that the version of the WPML plugin and add-ons that you're using is outdated. I kindly request you to update them to the latest version. If you don't see the update notice in the plugin section of your site, please manually update the plugin by following this documentation: https://wpml.org/faq/updating-wpml-manually/

However, the main reason behind this issue is- The post in the Italian language was moved to the trash and for that reason, you can't access/see that post. After restoring and publishing the Italian post, I can access the post without any issues. You can check now.
