[Resolved] Somehow the language switcher shows the wrong language on my header
This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem: The client updated their website and noticed that the language switcher incorrectly displays 'IT' instead of 'DE' in the header of the Italian page. Solution: We reviewed the issue and identified that a specific CSS code was causing the incorrect display of the language in the header. We recommend removing this CSS code to resolve the issue.

Could you please check if the issue persists in a minimal environment by following these steps?
1- Deactivate all the plugins except WPML CMS, String Translation, Elementor, and Elementor Pro.
2- Switch to a WordPress default theme like Twenty Twenty-one.
If the issue is gone, activate them one by one to see which one is causing an interaction issue.
❌ Please back up your database before the above test ❌
I use the Hello Theme which is not the problem. I also tried to deactivate all the plugins except Elementor, Elementor Pro and the WPML Plugins and the issue still persists.
Can i send you the credentials to check this out by yourself?
Thank you very much, Thomas
Thanks for your reply. I would need to look closely at your site, so I would need to request temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) Preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated.
Your answer will be private, meaning only you and I can access it.
❌ Please back up your database and website ❌
✙ I need your permission to deactivate and reactivate the plugins and themes and change site configurations. This is also why the backup is critical.
✙ I also need your permission to take a local copy of your site to debug the issue without affecting your live site.
Thanks for the access details. I checked the issue and found that there is a CSS code that causes the issue. (Kindly check this hidden link">screenshot)
