This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem: The client is experiencing multiple issues after installing WPML on their WooCommerce site. Some product variations are not showing correctly or are displayed in the wrong order.
Solution: For product variations not syncing or showing incorrectly: - Navigate to WooCommerce > WooCommerce Multilingual > Status > Troubleshooting. - Select the option to sync variable products. - Click on Start. - IMPORTANT: Ensure you back up your database and website before proceeding.
I installed WPML yesterday - and am truly puzzled about some results so far.
My site is a woo commerce shop at:

the front-end password to view the site is:

I have an issue with woocommerce products:
Products that are not translated are showing fine in the English Shop. The variations can be chosen in English. Adding to the cart, and the cart itself also works fine in English.

Some products that are translated also work fine and show the right variations - but in the fold out menu in the wrong order that the one that was set.

Others don’t show any variations at all and when going into the product variation settings - these are messed up. You can see the difference here between the options:
Add to cart (no variations) , and ‘Select Options’

What has gone wrong here?
Another issue is that
On the category pages no images are showing in the English version. For example here:

And yet another issue is I use a lot of astra custom layout elements. For example to add header text to catalogue pages. I cannot see at all where to translate these. In fact, they disappear in the English version. See here:
Thank you for contacting WPML support, I'd be happy to help you with this issue.
If the variations are not synced across languages, I suggest you go to WooCommerce > WooCommerce Multilingual > Status > Troubleshooting > Select options to sync variables products > Click on Start.
❌ IMPORTANT: Please backup your database and website before proceeding ❌
For the category images on the translation page, I see they are displayed as well. Please check the screenshot attached.
For the header text on the category page, can you please share some screenshots when you add the text to the category page?
Hello,
thank you for your reply! I got to know the system better but still have some issues:
The Product categories do not show the corresponding images in the English translation
(your screenshot shows a section where the category is set to show products):

Can that be solved with a setting, rather than going manually into the each translation?
(I recently added a few new product categories and there manually added the image)
many thanks for your help,
Klaus
