[Resolved] WPML/WooCommerce Multilingual Errors After WordPress Update
This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem: After updating WordPress to the latest version, critical errors occurred on some WooCommerce product pages, specifically on translated products. Errors included 'Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded' and issues in various files related to WPML and WooCommerce Multilingual (WCML). Solution: 1. Roll back WordPress to the previous version to stabilize the site temporarily. 2. Create a staging site using the WP Staging plugin to safely test updates without affecting the live site. This allows for isolating the problem and testing solutions without risk. 3. Provide debug information and access to the staging site to the WPML support team for further analysis and assistance.
If this solution does not resolve your issue, or if it seems outdated or irrelevant to your specific case, we highly recommend opening a new support ticket. Additionally, please check the related known issues and ensure you have the latest versions of themes and plugins installed. For further assistance, you can always contact us through the WPML support forum.

After updating WordPress to the latest version, I started experiencing critical errors on certain product pages in my WooCommerce store. The issues occur only on a few products, both with and without variations. All plugins, including WooCommerce, WPML, and WooCommerce Multilingual (WCML), are up-to-date.
Error details include:
Some product pages fail to load with a “Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded” error.
The errors appear immediately after updating WordPress, suggesting a compatibility issue between WPML/WCML and the latest WordPress core when processing product metadata, translation fields, or images.
Could you please advise on:
How to safely fix these errors for the affected products.
Ensuring full compatibility of WPML/WCML with the latest WordPress version.
Any temporary workarounds to prevent critical errors while browsing or editing affected products.
The issue occurs immediately after updating WordPress, while WooCommerce and WPML are up-to-date. Only translated products show errors; un-translated products work fine.
Our website is live and currently active. I recently updated WordPress to the latest version, and after the update, some single product pages started showing errors. I have captured screenshots of the errors and attached them to this message for your reference.
To ensure the website continues to function properly, I have temporarily rolled back WordPress to the previous version. The site is now running smoothly again, but I would like your guidance on how to make WPML fully compatible with the latest WordPress version so that I can safely update it without issues.
Our websites are live and currently active. After updating WordPress to the latest version on both of our sites, some single product pages started showing errors. I have captured screenshots of the errors and attached them for your reference.
To ensure both websites continue to function properly, I have temporarily rolled back WordPress to the previous version. The sites are now running smoothly again, but I would like your guidance on how to make WPML fully compatible with the latest WordPress version so that I can safely update both websites without issues.
In this case, and to avoid breaking the live site, I kindly ask you to create a staging site with a copy of the production site (you can use the WP Staging plugin for free) and share the access credentials in your next message, which I have set private.
This will allow us to reproduce the issue, double-check the configuration and run any necessary tests to isolate the cause of the problem.
