Background of the issue:
I am trying to translate all pages of my website using WPML. I have successfully translated most parts, but there are some missing translations within widgets used in Elementor.

Symptoms:
I can't find where to translate text from widgets used within the Elementor page. For example, on the page hidden link, there is a widget with icons that is still in Italian.

Questions:
How can I find and translate text from widgets used in Elementor with WPML?

Hi,

Welcome to WPML support. It seems ot be an issue from the Ultimate Elements for Elementor plugin.

That widget you mentioned seems to be from that plugin.

To be able to report the compatibility issues we need to replicate the issue on a clean installation.
I created a clean installation of WordPress, Elementor, WPML, and all necessary WPML add-ons.
You can access the WordPress dashboard using the link below:
hidden link

Kindly follow the steps below:

- Install the Ultimate Elementor Elements Premium plugin.
- Create a sample page and use the Widget in question
- Try to replicate the issue.

This will help us to report the probable issue to the compatibility team and solve the possible problem faster.

Thanks.

Hi Christpher, thanks for your answer. I tried adding a page and installing the Unlimited Elements plugin, using the Icon Tab widget as in my website. Situation is not exctly the same, as I am using Elementor Pro on my website. Anyway, in your sample website I do see the UE plugin text, so I don't know why I don't see it in mine. If I give you a temporary login to my website, can you have a look at it and maybe understand what the problem could be? Thanks

Hi,

Sure I can try to check but meanwhile, I installed the Elementor Pro plugin so you can double check if with that plugin the issue can be replicated on the clean installation?

Also, I wonder if you add a new page and only use the Tab widget does it work then?

I'd appreciate it if you could give me the URL/User/Pass of your WordPress dashboard after you make sure that you have a backup of your website.
It is absolutely important that you give us a guarantee that you have a backup so if something happens you will have a point of restore.

Make sure you set the next reply as private.

Hi Christopher, following your advice, I tried creating a new page in my website and if I add the UE widget, it works all fine and I can translate it. I therefore made an analysis of the pages that have the issue and found out that it is probably because some of the widgets from UE were added in the layout as "Global Widget", part of the website Elementor template I had built. Therefore, I am now checking page by page. In some cases, once I translate the global widget in the template, it then works fine in the page. In a page I even just duplicated the widget and it worked as well. So I guess the problem could be that. Pls keep the ticket open for a couple more days, so that I can finish checking all pages with this problem and I will get back to you with an update once I finished. Thank you!

Hi I am almost finished reviewing the whole website. Up to know it looks like the problem is solved by duplicating the UE widget (coming from an Elementor Global Widget) in the Elementor page. Once I duplicate it, I find its content to be translated in your plugin. This is very frustrating but it is the only way I found to solve it. Will give you a final update today or tomorrow at the latest.

Hi Christopher, I am going on checking everything and I found out another problem. We have a form in the website (you can see it at the following address: hidden link) and some fields have multiple choices. In your plugin, I find the multiple answers as one line. Once I translate it I do find the translation in the form but as a single line, with no multiple choices. How can I fix this? I am sending you a couple screenshots that maybe can help explaining the problem. If you need more info I can specifcy more or give you access to our WordPRess dashboard. Please let me know. Thanks.

Hi,

As you managed to fix the original issue I will appreciate it if you could set this ticket as solved. This will help us to give you the best support we can and it will be helpful for other customers when they encounter the same issue.

For the form point I will create a new ticket for you and answer there.

The link to the ticket will be emailed to you.

Thanks.

The issue is resolved but I guess you should watch out for Global Widgets and find a solution for it, as I had to duplicate every single widget, loosing lots of time.
