Background of the issue:
I am trying to have translated text appear on the front end of the website after it is 100% completed and saved in the Advanced Translation Editor.

Symptoms:
Fully translated text is not appearing on the front end of the website. Instead, random spots of translated, completed and saved text are showing in the site's original language (English).

The Advanced Translation Editor is showing our staging site links. However, we and our host have done a find-replace to point all links to our production site.

This issue began after migrating our site to production, having entered all translations on a staging site.

Questions:
Why is the translated text not showing on the front end after being 100% completed and saved?
Why are staging site links still appearing in the Advanced Translation Editor after migration?

How do we stop the support system from re-wording all our text after we so carefully try to format it to be clear. It is erasing and re-wording important information, without a way to go back to our original text. It is so time consuming to re-type everything.

Hi,

To investigate the translation display issue more closely, could you please share WordPress admin credentials and the URL of a page where the issue is visible? This will allow us to check the configuration directly.

I marked your next reply as private so that you can safely add credentials.

Regarding the rewording of your ticket text: we use AI to help generate ticket descriptions for internal tracking and consistency. If you still have the original version of your ticket before it was altered, we’d really appreciate it if you could share it with us. This will help us review and potentially adjust the prompt we use to better preserve your formatting and intent in the future.

Looking forward to your reply!

Can you complete this wizard first? As otherwise ATE may be blocked. This will allow for the translation memory and credit sharing.

Hello, how do I re-launch this wizard? I already went through it when the site was first moved over. It no longer appears.

The wizard still seems to be there:

That is why Translation Management is currently disabled.

Hello, it's available on the staging site I set up for you, because it was just copied over. But it's not available on the live site. How can we restart the wizard on the live site?

If the wizard is no longer visible on the production site, but the Translation Management is still blocked and not working, go to WPML → Support and click on the Troubleshooting link.

On the WPML Troubleshooting page, click the button labeled Force-enable WPML’s Advanced Translation Editor.

Does it help?

Hello, we do not have that button on the the WPML Troubleshooting page.
Can you tell us where it may be? Or if it is called something different?

I have attached screenshots of all the options available that can see on that page.

Does the wizard show in the production site? Because on hidden link it is still there.

If not showing on the production and translation management is active, you don't need to do anything.

On the hidden link, can you select appropriate options? I can mark it as "copy" which it is, but the next step is:

Translation credits for this site
The site on hidden link has 2000 credits for automatic translation. Do you want to share these credits between hidden link and this new location (hidden link)?
- Yes (recommended)/In the next step, you will receive instructions for how to approve the credits sharing
- No/You will need to assign credits or set up a pay-as-you-go plan for this site to use automatic translation

Which one would it be for this site?

Hello,

The wizard does not show on the production site. I mentioned this earlier.

You are saying that if it does not show on the production site, we don't need to do anything. In that case, could you please tell us how to fix the original issue that this thread is about?

On hidden link we don't want to use any translation credits at all. We are not using translation credits in any of our translations. I always put "0" to this question.

I enabled ATE on hidden link during troubleshooting. After that, I accessed the page editor at:
hidden link

I added "EN" to the title, saved the page, then reopened the translation in the Translation Editor and saved it again. The page hidden link now appears to be properly translated.

Can you confirm this on your end? Also, are there any other pages with the same issue? If so, try following the same steps I used above to resolve it.

Yes this worked.

I had provided the other page with this issue previously. I tested on that one and it worked.

Can you explain how you enabled the ATE during troubleshooting? I thought it was already enabled?

I went to WPML → Support and clicked on the Troubleshooting link. There I clicked the button labeled "Force-enable WPML’s Advanced Translation Editor."

Thank you. Could you let us know why we don't see that option on our live site?

Hi there!

This is Paola and I hope you are well. I will continue with the ticket as Bruno is on holiday.

Because that appears on moved sites not on the original site.

Could you confirm if the translation editor is working properly on your site?
