Background of the issue:
I am trying to set up WPML on different directories such as chrismediagroup.com/ko. The link to a page where the issue can be seen is hidden link. I expected to see chrismediagroup.com/ko load my Korean version of the site.
Symptoms:
I get intermittent Apache 500 errors. The error log shows: [Tue Jul 01 10:16:25.876873 2025] [core:error] [pid 1365591:tid 1365682] [client 98.44.250.41:64208] AH00124: Request exceeded the limit of 10 internal redirects due to probable configuration error. Use 'LimitInternalRecursion' to increase the limit if necessary. Use 'LogLevel debug' to get a backtrace., referer: hidden link. After refreshing, the error goes away but comes back on each page.

How can I resolve the intermittent Apache 500 errors?
