Thanks for your reply.

I've cleared some language files on the staging site and could you please check and see if it works correctly now?

Ok, I think I might have found a solution. Please could you backup your production site and share the WP admin access here so that I could try to apply the fix for you?

One area that doesn't work unless "Look for strings while pages are rendered" is enabled is the "Informations clés" section on lodging pages. See attached screenshot, you will notice the words "Capacity", "Lodging size", etc. are not getting translated. Thanks!

Thank you for your response.

I apologize for any confusion. I'm a bit anxious that the changes I made to your production site yesterday might have affected the translations.

Here's a summary of what I've done to the staging site hidden link :

I reviewed the string translations and noticed that you had triggered 20,000 strings. I used the Remove Strings option to clean that up. Additionally, I enabled the translations for your "author" in the More Options section, as shown in the attached screenshot.

I also found that some strings were not configured correctly, as they were set to English instead of their primary language. I corrected this by switching the strings to the appropriate language.

Furthermore, where can I edit the text "Capacity", "Lodging size" ?

Ok thanks let me check the changes. The strings "Capacity", "Lodging size", are strings you can edit via WPML.

Thanks for your reply. Yeah, I saw that string in string translation and I'm curious why it uses "wordpress" text domain. But anyway, I've deleted the string and retranslated it. Hopefully, it works now. Could you test it further, if all is good, I will implement the same procedure on your production site.

I found more strings that do not translate, I'm thinking maybe we're still missing something? On the home page, in French, the "Read more" text is not translated. I have also translated the dare format from "m/d/y" in English to "d/m/y" in French and that doesn't translate anymore. Thanks for your ongoing support.

It wasn't translated when I checked and I've corrected it for you. As for the date format, I removed and retranslated it.

I have translated it. However I am 100% certain that these strings were translated already. Something strange happened for sure.

Can I go ahead and deploy stage to production?

October 17, 2024 at 4:02 pm #16301440

Kor

Thanks for your reply.

It was probably not translated properly earlier. Yes, you can deploy the stage to production if you've checked all strings and translations. Remember to backup first before you proceed.
