This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
If you're experiencing warnings and a 404 page after using the autotranslate feature on your site, particularly when switching to languages like Danish, and your theme is compatible with WPML, the issue might be related to your site settings.
Solution:
We discovered that although the Settings → General page displayed values for both Site URL and Home URL, the Home URL was actually empty in the database (in the wp_options table). This mismatch was likely causing the problem. Simply re-saving the settings page might not repopulate the value due to the issue itself preventing it. Therefore, we recommend updating the Home URL directly in the database. After making this change, please check your site to confirm that everything is working as expected.

This solution might be irrelevant if it's outdated or not applicable to your case. We highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If the problem persists, please open a new support ticket.

Hey there,

My next step is to access a copy of your website, to check for conflicts and test solutions in it, so I don't harm your live website. Nonetheless, I got multiple errors, and couldn't manage to create the needed copy.

In this case, please create a staging version of the website. You can use a plugin to achieve that, or reach out to your hosting support, ad they might be able to help you to create a staging website. Please send me the link to it here, when you are done. Thank you for the cooperation on this matter.

We found the cause of the issue.

Although Settings → General shows values for both Site URL and Home URL, the Home URL option was actually empty in the database (wp_options table). This mismatch was causing the site problem.

Re-saving the settings page didn’t repopulate the value (likely because the issue itself was preventing it), so we updated the Home URL directly in the database instead. Once that was done, the issue was resolved on our test copy.

We’ve checked your site and it had the same database issue, which has now been corrected.

Could you please check your site now and confirm everything is working as expected?
