This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
If you're experiencing issues with incorrect pricing when selecting product options and using Apple Pay on your multilingual WooCommerce site, it might be due to the Stripe Gateway plugin not handling Chinese characters for term meta slugs.
Solution:
We recommend following these steps to resolve the issue:
1. Navigate to your WordPress Dashboard > WPML > Taxonomy Translation.
2. Select the Product Color taxonomy.
3. Click on the pencil icon next to each color and change the slug to Latin characters, then save. Repeat this for all Product Size terms as well.
This should correct the pricing discrepancy.

If this solution does not apply to your case, or if it seems outdated, please check the related known issues and confirm that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If the problem persists, we highly recommend opening a new support ticket for further assistance. You can do so here: WPML support forum.

This is the technical support forum for WPML - the multilingual WordPress plugin.

Hi,

Welcome to WPML support. Would you please provide the debug information so I can understand how your website is setup?

https://wpml.org/faq/provide-debug-information-faster-support/

Additional Questions:

- Do you use a multi-currency setup in WooCommerce Multilingual?
- Is 780 in the screenshot USD or HKD?
- What is the name of the plugin that you use to enable the Apply Pay functionality? (It might be the fact that the plugin is not compatible with WPML)
- If you use the multi-currency setup, what happens if you turn off that feature and have one currency? Does the same problem happen?

One last point:

As the issue is happening on the default language of the website and not the second language you will need to check if the problem happens without WPML:

- IMPORTANT STEP! Create a backup of your website. Or better approach will be to test this on a copy/staging version of the website to avoid any disruption of a live website.
- Go to "WordPress Dashboard > Plugins" and deactivate the plugins below
. WPML Multilingual CMS
. WPML String translation
. WooCommerce Multilingual
- Check if you can still recreate the issue.
- If yes, then it is not related to WPML in the first place.

Thanks.

WooCommerce Stripe Gateway

Hi,

Thank you. Yes, please set the next reply as private and give us the login information for the staging website so we can check and deactivate plugins without the fear of breaking a live website.

Please have a backup beforehand just in case.

Thanks.

Hello,

Thank you for the login information. I deactivated all other plugins and the theme and only kept:

Woocommerce
Woocommerce Multilingual
WPML String Translation
WPML Multilingual CMS
WooCommerce Stripe Gateway

I also changed the theme to use the default Hello Elementor theme.

Now, if you check the website and the link in question:

hidden link

You will see that everything works ok both in English and Chinese.

That shows the issue is not related to WPML or the Stripe plugin. There is another plugin that causes the problem.

Thanks.

Yes, i go to check it.
Still have the problem!
Is mobile version & use apply pay / google pay & link.

Please check the picture!
It should be HKD780, is not HK$540

The variation:
"Large" = "大" $780
"Medium"="中" $660
"Small"="小" $540

Also the address should be get in mobile.

You can try to add a customer account to test mobile apple pay in both language.

Hello and thank you. I do see the issue now.

This seems to be a compatibility issue between the Stripe plugin and WPML.

To be able to report the compatibility issues we need to replicate the issue on a clean installation.
I created a clean installation of WordPress, WPML, Woocommerce, and all necessary WPML add-ons.
You can access the WordPress dashboard using the link below:

Kindly follow the steps below:

- Install Stripe Plugin
- Set the Apply Pay.
- Add a product or use one of the current ones and translate it
- Try to replicate the issue.

This will help us to report the probable issue to the compatibility team and solve the possible problem faster.

Thanks.

Hello,

Thank you, I used iPhone and went to that page, selected color and size and continued but in the checkout it gives me no payment options. I do not see any Apple Pay button.

May I ask you to give me the steps on what to do to see the Apple Pat button?

You can try color: "紅" and size "大" $50 and use apply pay to check the price
color: "綠" and size "中" $20 and use apply pay to check the price

It seem only to get the low price not the correct price in Apple pay.

DO NOT GO TO CHECKOUT, It should be in single product page when you select color & size, the apple pay button will show on next add to cart button.

Please check with video:

Hello,

I exactly followed the steps you mentioned, and I used iPhone, but the Apple Pay button does not show. Is there anything specific that needs to be done other than the one you showed on the video?

I recorded a video of my iPhone screen:

Hello,

I did test both on Safari and on Chrome. I do not have Firefox on my phone but, Safari should be the one to check as a standard browser for iPhone and it is not working.

I tested both when I am logged out and logged in but that Apply Pay button does not show to be able to test.
